4th Day Of Soccer

Today we had our 4th day of try-outs! it was HECK! we first had to run inside our school hallways for 10 minutes just for our warm-up. our school is hot in one hallway and cold in another so basically it sucks. but anyways after that we all stretched out. we broke up into 2 groups, and my group had to run the hallways first for 30 straight minutes... but my ankle wasnt taped and it really hurt so i had a coach taped it and it was the worst tape job ever.. but whatever. then the 2 groups switched and we had to do alot of these jumping things and then cruntchs, wall sits, ladders, sprints, and alot of other ab work outs. it was a great 2 hour work out! so we didnt even get to touch a soccer ball but we didnt have gym time today and theres about 6 inches of snow outside.... so i will have to just stick it through. anyways that was my soccer info for today!

Wicked!

Wicked. i was so excited about this. i have been waiting a long time to see this. so this night was pretty special for me. so penny came in on monday morning and she was all ready to see wicked in chicago. We went on Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at 7:30 p.m. we left home at around 4:45 and stopped at steak and shake for dinner in joliet. after we ate we got back on the road towards chicago. the directions to the parking lot was a little bit confusing, but me being a city girl kind of now i got us there.

We were all so excited and when we came up to the front of the oriental theatre we took lots of pictures. we walked in the beautiful theatre, they scanned our tickets, and we went up the stairs to the balcony level. once we got our seats, which were in the front of the section on the balcony(great seats), me and my mom went downstairs to buy me a black wicked shirt and to go the bathroom. when we walked into the actual theatre it was breathtaking. the art on the old theatre was so pretty. the carvings on the walls and the statues were so great. then the lights were growing darker..... it was almost time!

No one mourns the wicked was the song that started off the musical. it was great. there was a huge dragon thing on the ceiling that was moving and going crazy. the dancers were amazing. they were just dancing everywhere. the outfits were so perfect. my favorite character was glinda.. because she was soo funny and cute! my favorite songs were popular sung by glinda and my other favorite song was defying gravity sung by elphaba. the part i laughed the most at was when glinda was singing popular and she was like kicking her feet up on the bed! it wasso funny and i laughed alot at that part. she was very funny in everything she did. i over all thought it was a very very very very very very good musical and i will see it again!!!!!

It was a great night and it is now my favorite musical EVER!!

Spice Up Your Life

hey!! so this is a little bit of late news but i just want to tell everyone about my amazing experience at the Spice Girls concert. so heres the story.....

it all started on friday, february 15, 2008. my mom picked up samantha, my life-long friend, and her mom that morning. when i got home from school i saw them and i was soo happy. after we had a little reunion with them we all went out to eat at the lucky buffalo. i had the fetticini shrimp alfredo. after we ate i had to babysit from 2 to 4:30, so samantha came with me to help. the whole time we just couldnt wait to go to the concert. the story is back in the spice girls tour of 98 me and sam went together when we were both 7 years old. now 10 years later we are seeing them again! so when we got home from babysitting we got ready in a hurry, grapped our spice girls cd's, took pictures, said goodbye to our moms, and off we were in the little volkswagon jetta.

it took about an hour and 20 minutes to get there and it was the farthest i have ever driven in my life! so we finally got there around 7:06. we look up as we are walking in and see the united center in huge letters. when we walked in we had our tickets scanned and headed straight for the t-shirt booth. we got in line about 7:10 and we didnt get to the front until 7:58. there were so many people trying to get shirts, it was just a big mob of people and everyone was so close to each other. one girl even pushed a girl really hard saying "stop it. your cutting me!". it was crazy! but finally me and sam got to the counter and bought the shirt as fast as we could. we got the spice girls reunion tour shirt for 35 bucks!

The show was supposed to start at 8:00, but it actually didnt start til about 8:30. when we were waiting for the girls to come out in our seats, alot of people were dancing and i have not seen that many gay people in my life in one plce! it was crazy! we were sitting in a good seat. we were at the highest level but it was okay because we could still see fine. finally the lights grew darker and the girls were about to appear on stage

It started out with a wierd video of the girls when they were younger and how they became the spice girls. then all of a sudden they made their appearence. they slowly rose up form under the stage and it was so amazing. i dont even know how to explain the feeling i got when i saw them. all i remember is i screamed as loud and as long as i could! they started their best song and started singing spice up your life! everyone went nuts! after that they sang stop, wannabe, and alot alot more. it was very scandelous and sexy i must say.

The girls each had their own solo song. scary spice came out with a whip on the end of her microphone and she was very crazy. she picked a guy from the stand and shackled him up in this little thing under a ladder. she climbed all over the ladder and was riding the top. lol. it was a funny sight. ginger spice came out on her solo song singing its raining men! it was awesome because when she sang it the spice boys dancers all took off their shirts and everyone in the whole arena sang it at the top of their lungs! it was an awesome feeling!

Another cool part of the concert is when they sang mama. they all brought their kids up on stage and the little babies had to wear their earphones. it was so cute! me and sam called our moms when they sang that too, and they probably couldnt hear anything but we called them anyways. they wore some awesome outfits and sang beautifully.

The last 40 seconds off the show was amesome, emotional, loud, and sad. they sang spice up your life as their last song. and as they went down back under the stage i saw their hands just disappearing out of my sight. it was so sad cause it was their finaly bow in chicago and i was very depressed, but i was thankful that i even got to see them not once but twice. they will forever live in my heart and they were basically my childhood.

The spice girls will forever live on..... and girl power will will never die!

and like they said ....... "MISSION ACCOMPLISHED"
